Dnipro is a city with a population of around 1,000,000. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Dnipro has welcomed around 250,000 internally displaced people who are seeking shelter and safety. 

 

People are being placed in schools, offices, warehouses as well as private residences. The deputy mayor of Dnipro region, Mikhail Lysenko confirmed that Dnipro region has been overwhelmed with the number of people coming and that they are in need of finding suitable dignified accommodation.

 

Dnipro is a central strategic location, a hub for supplies and humanitarian aid.
